The Report on Drinking in the Second Decade of Life inEurope and North America has been written by experts in Europe and North America with support from ERAB: The European Foundation for Alcohol Research and ABMRF / The Foundation for Alcohol Research which is based in the USA. Both foundations have charitable status and fund independent research into the effects of alcohol and health. Both are funded by but independent from the brewing sector. ABMRF was founded in 1982 and ERAB in 2003.
The Report on Underage drinking, which has been subject to peer review, has examined the evidence concerning initiatives to reduce the consumption of alcoholic drinks by adolescents in both Europe and North America and makes recommendations based on what has been shown to be effective.
The launch of the report on Drinking in the Second Decade of Life inEurope and North America took place in the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday 27th November 2012.
