The ERAB e-Newsletter – Issue 13Invitation to apply for fundingERAB: The European Foundation for Alcohol Research (ERAB) invites applications for funding of any aspect of biomedical or psychosocial research into alcohol, or more specifically beer, from researchers from an established European research institution or university. In this, the twelfth round of applications ERAB is, for the first time, particularly encouraging applications for research on lifestyle and drinking patterns. Maximum overall funding for a single project will not exceed €100,000, for a maximum two year project (€50,000 for a one year project). Applications will be externally peer reviewed. An application form may be obtained from www.erab.org Applications should be returned to the Chair of the ERAB Advisory Board, Professor Philippe De Witte, on dewitte@uclouvain.be Closing date for applications is Monday 7th April 2014. Decision in October 2014 for uptake of grants from January 2015. ERAB also offers Travel and Exchange Awards for young researchers working in this field. For more information go to www.erab.org ERAB 10th Anniversary Lifetime Achievement Award – REMINDERPlease don’t forget to send details of nominations for the ERAB 10th Anniversary Lifetime Achievement Award by 30th April 2014. This award will be granted to an exceptional researcher who has achieved excellence in the field of alcohol research after many years work in the field. It will be presented at the 37th International Medical Advisory Group (IMAG) Conference which will take place in Amsterdam on 13th and 14th October 2014 where the recipient will be asked to make the keynote address.
