New Year Greetings from ERAB

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a prosperous and successful 2017.

Call for pre-proposals for funding applications

As announced last year, ERAB: The European Foundation for Alcohol Research, (ERAB), now requires an outline, or pre-proposal for applications for funding. Applicants of successful pre-proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal. Once notified successful pre-applicants will have six weeks to complete the full application.

ERAB is now inviting pre-proposals  for funding for biomedical or psychosocial research into any aspect of the effect of alcohol, or more specifically beer, on health.

In this, the fifteenth round of applications ERAB is, again, particularly encouraging applications for research on lifestyle and drinking patterns.

Maximum overall funding for a single project will not exceed €100,000, for a maximum two year project (€50,000 for a one year project).

Applications should be from researchers from an established European research institution or university. Please note that there are conditions regarding applications from previously successful applicants.

Closing date for pre-proposals is Monday 20th February.

Decision on pre-proposals in early March.

Decision on full applications in early November for uptake of grants from January 2018.
